Salmonella is a dangerous bacteria that can cause problems for both your dog and you. Anybody that has contact with the food is at risk of the disease. So, if you have worked with the food and don’t remember washing your hands immediately, keep an eye on the following symptoms:

  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • High temperature
  • Stomach pains
  • Muscle pain

The symptoms are similar to Covid-19, so let your doctor know you had contact with the Salmonella-infected food.

In dogs, symptoms may resemble those of plant poisoning, so if your pet has ever eaten something they shouldn’t have, you are probably familiar with those. The symptoms are the following:

  • Lethargy
  • Decreased appetite
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Fever

If you notice any of the symptoms, take your pet to the veterinarian immediately.
