ALDI, a famous supermarket chain, has recalled their Christmas Advent Calendars for Pets. The calendars are getting recalled because they can present a choking hazard for pets.
The calendars included small treats packed in plastic bags. Some buyers reported that the treats seemed to be too hard for their pets and not easily swallowed, which could cause choking.
No serious accidents have been reported, but ALDI still removed the products from their shelves as a precaution. The products removed were:
Product Name | Package Size | UPC | Best Used By |
Pure Being Cat Advent Calendar | 5.15 oz Box | 4099100267754 | All |
Pure Being Dog Advent Calendar | 5.15 oz Box | 4099100267747 | All |
Although Christmas is behind us, and most users have probably used the products already, if you’ve been keeping the treats because your pet wouldn’t eat them, you can return them to your nearest ALDI for a full refund.
If you have any questions, you can contact the manufacturer’s (Pet Brands Products) customer service at 866-396-3647.
It’s important to note that you shouldn’t give your dog anything too hard to chew, since choking is a serious hazard and might result in a trip to the vet’s office.
And if you want to treat your dog, there are many soft chews and healthy treats that can satisfy any dog’s needs and keep them safe.
